Thoughtful, manipulating and farseeing, Loki has all the markings of the perfect tactician. He is mischievous by nature and always eager to prove himself given his inferior physical capabilities against other Asgardians, especially his half-brother, Thor. He developed a sharp intellect and an acute mind to overcome his handicaps and developed a pitiless and obstinate nature. Loki tends to remove anyone in his path if it means completing his goals or achieving his desires.

Loki can some times show a conflicted stance when it comes to his brother, Thor. He still harbors affection for the man but resents him at the same time for always overshadowing everything he did. In certain situations Loki shows to experience delusions of grandeur and can be rather ruthless and sadistic depending on the situation he is in. For all his craftiness it has also proved to be his undoing as steps in his plan have ultimately aided his enemies in defeating him.

-Weaknesses: Loki is bound by limitations place on him from Odin preventing him from outright using his powers to kill Thor or humans, he seemed to temporarily be able to use his powers at full capacity but it can be assumed that the full use of his power led Odin to be aware of his location and he started to lose his powers.

History:
Loki is the son of Odin and the giantess Farbauti, who procreated him as part of an attempted peace settlement between Asgard and Jotunheim. Alongside his half-brothers Balder and Thor formed the Warriors Three. Loki fought alongside Thor and Balder during a thousand years-long war against the frost giants. After the victory of the Asgardians, the three participated in a tournament alongside other Asgardian warriors, where he was defeated by Thor while trying to make his half-brother understand that everything had changed. Soon afterwards, he visited his mother, now a prisoner of Odin, who asked him to bring her the sacred Norn Stones (relic extensions of Odin's power). In the process of stealing them, he killed his half-brother Balder with his favoured bow and was banished from Asgard.

Eons later, in 1939, under the disguise of Nazi supervillain Baron Zemo, Loki waged an attack on Asgard with a coalition army of Frost Giants and Nazi soldiers. He killed Heimdall, feeding his blood the the Nazi soldiers in combination with the power of the Norn Stones to augment their strength. Loki shot Thor with his bow and then attacked Odin, who forced him into the Room Without Doors while Asgard was destroyed.

However, before going through the portal to Asgard, Loki left the Norn Stones in safekeeping with a young Nazi soldier called Helmutt. Many years later, after Thor had already returned to Earth, Helmutt opened the portal to the Door Without Doors, freeing Loki, who was still a god, unlike Thor and Balder who had been reborn as men.

Sample Role Play

Asgard.. a paradise. It had been his home for countless generations and now, now he only saw everything that always seemed to be denied him. His blue eyes trailed down the balcony, catching sight of the large being that had been the bane of his existence for so long. Thor. The favored son, the one that their father Odin had always seemed to favor. The All-Father always seemed ambivalent as to who would assume his throne as the King of Asgard.. but he knew. Thor would be the one no matter how hard he tried, no matter what he accomplished, Thor always came first.

Loki's fingers ran gently along the stone railing, it's craftsmanship second to none. He could see his brother speaking with the others, Sif, Balder, Volstagg.. all laughing and having their merry ways. It must have been so nice to have your head in the clouds and act like an oafish brute. No thought, no substance, hurl his mighty hammer and see his enemies fall before him. Everything must have seemed so wonderful for the chosen son of Odin, the successor, the one that would always come ahead of him.

A sick feeling came over him as his eyes followed the faint images moving off in the distance away from the palace. One day this would all fall under his control, they would see, they'd all see. One day, Loki Odinson would be able to prove his great worth and anyone that decided to get in his way would perish, his will would not be denied any longer. Soon he told himself.. soon.

A voice then broke his thoughts. "Loki! Brother! Come, drink with us!" Loki turned his attention to Thor who's voice carried with it great cheer. The God of Mischief's lips curled into a smile and with a swish of his cloak he was walking to join his brothers and friends. All the while, one thought rested in his mind.
