Tony Stark is very much a man that believes himself the smartest man on Earth and his accomplishments go along way to supporting his claim. Born the son of Howard Stark, with a gifted mind, Tony can be very brash and arrogant to boot and at times it can get him in trouble though he never seems to worry about being able to get out of it. He can appear very self assured but at many times he can be unsure of his own abilities and doesn't play well with others.
For the greater good though Stark can be counted on to come through in a clinch and has shown to be a valuable asset within any team. He can be a womanizer at times and when he becomes focused on his work few things can really pull him away without great effort. In the end his heart is in the right place and he is not above using all of his skill and power to achieve victory for himself or his friends.

He's battled alcoholism for many years and in his drunken state he tends to be erratic and, unpredictable and prone to bouts of depression. When not under the effects of the drink he had shown to have compulsive behavior that manifests itself in different ways including self destructive tendencies. One of his bigger flaws is his case of textbook narcissism that has him always looking to be the center of attention. Last but not least, Tony Stark has no super-powers beyond his brilliance and can be harmed as easy as any human without his Iron Man armor.

Young Tony Stark was a genius inventor who tried to get out from the shadow of his father and his successful company Stark Industries by creating his own promising business JT Technologies along his girlfriend, Josey.
Howard forced Tony to accept the direction of Stark Industries, causing him to lamentably leave JT to solely Josey, who broke up with him in order to build the company, but died in a plane crash. Saddened, Stark devoted to his inventions, and left his love life away. Years later, Howard would die, after starting with Tony a new creation based on nanotechnology.

Locked away in his workshop he slaved for hours, the holographic projections of this newest project were staring him in the face as he calculated his next move. The true scope of his brilliance reached far beyond anything any of his top engineers could muster. His hand reached out into the projection, breaking off another piece of obsolete technology from the wire frame as he pondered what should be added next. Repulsors in the arms and chest, the flight simulators, onboard computers, it would even sustain him should he need to go underwater or in space.
It was the ultimate tool.. the ultimate weapon. He would need to keep such a thing secret, the knowledge in his own mind and the most secret of his database. Should the wrong man get a hold of them it could spell out disaster for him and the world. His eyes moved from the projection to the file that had been sitting next to him, S.H.I.E.L.D's logo was on the cover with the word Ultimates written across it. It was the answer, the team that they were sponsoring to save the world.. he hoped that he wouldn't let it down.
"Save file as Mark III, began fabrication process ASAP," he commanded his computer. The process would be began and the automated fabricators would get to work by his specifications. Soon enough the new suit would be complete and he'd soon enough Nick Fury would need his answer. The choice seemed clear to him.. but he would always have his doubts. With a heavy sigh, he picked up the file in front of him, looked over the cover and looked up to the ceiling.
"Get me Nick Fury.."
