"Damn it." Danny muttered under his breath as he watched the nude Captain America sprinting towards the door way... the exact location that he was currently standing.
Lt. Ketch quickly reached to his assault rifle raising it towards Captain America as he screamed out to him in a hurry. "Stand down soldier!" He felt like a traitor to America even raising a barrel to a true war hero but he also knew Fury would have everyone's ass if he escaped. However, he would not take a life threatening shot at Captain America no matter what in his current state. Ketch only hoped to delay Cap enough to allow a member of the Ultimates to take care of the situation... Hell, they've never been on a team mission before. Wasn't this kind of situation the kind of thing the government pays them to take care of?

Thor slammed into the wall with a force he had not expected, with his weight this mortal should not have been able to throw him like that and to do so with such force showed him that this Captain America held a strength that was not readily seen in him. He slid down the wall and for a moment watched on as the warrior dispatched those around him.
Thor was used to many things but this affront to him was something not to be tolerated; he had been insulted and an insult did not stand when one was addressing the God of Thunder. He rose quickly and Mjolnir flew to its masters hand; he was annoyed that he had been so casually dispatched but he would end this now with one blow that would fell this man and restore peace to the situation.
"Thou would take arms against the God of Thunder? Then have at thee!" He hurled his hammer at the fleeing Captain America; he would apologize of course once the man regained his senses but there was a small part of Thor that would enjoy seeing this man receive the blow in payment for the slight to his honor.

As the scene turned into pandemonium, Natalia fell into a defensive stance by instinct. Indeed, it took a great deal of her mental acuity to stop herself from taking the opening Cap left her and full body checking him as he went by. Ignoring women as a potential threat... such a common error. But no, body slamming the symbol of the American dream wouldn't help this situation. They needed to de-escalate the threat, not make it worse by turning it into a super powered punch up.
"Let him go." she called to the room. Watching the fleeing war-hero. "He won't get far. He's got no where to go."
If he's anything like the stories say, when he sees with his own eyes. He'd hopefully be more receptive to reason and explanation. Rather than gut reaction.
Once the door was clear, she started after the Captain. But not at any so threatening pace as a run. Body language was everything. And Widow was cool as a cucumber.

"Oh crap.." that had really been all he could get out after he felt a foreign pair of hands grab a hold of him and toss him across the room like he was a pillow. It was a good thing though that the wall of S.H.I.E.L.D guys was there otherwise he might have hit something relatively hard and he imagined that he would be well out of sorts. The agents did their best, dropping their weapons and falling to the ground with the brilliant business man laying across them, a little dumbfounded and maybe a little embarrassed at the fact that he'd been wrong.
Try as he might Tony had to struggle to get up, witnessing the way that Captain America had belted Nick Fury right in the face, a fact that made him chuckle on the inside, however seeing him get the better of the Norse God of Thunder? That was insane! Natalia was as cool as ever about the situation and he had to guess that she was probably right, getting in a fight with Captain America was not what he had wanted. Finally pulling himself up off the S.H.I.E.L.D agents, the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist dusted himself off and looked around.
"Not a single word!" he said to everyone in the room. He knew one of them would probably make a smart ass remark, might as well cut it off at the pass.

Cap was moving towards the door when he heard the deep rumbling voice speaking in terms he had not heard except from one of those old serial movies he used to go watch with Bucky. He was however a trained soldier and he could sense danger around him, it was one of those senses that developed in combat and one that soldiers with combat experience came to appreciate as it would often save their lives.
He waited until the last possible instant and turned sideways as Mjolnir passed by, he then grasped the handle of the hammer and he felt a pulse of power run up his arm that did not expect. Surging energy roiled within him like thunder and he felt a strength within him that he had not known; keeping his momentum he spun on his heel and hurled the hammer back at the blonde giant in the archaic armor "I believe this belongs to you!" Mjolnir flew through the air at the surprised Thor and slammed into him sending him crashing back into the wall.
He burst from the room and saw that there were people wondering around and looking at him strangely. He then accelerated away, his legs carrying swiftly as he found a large window and leapt through it. He crashed through the glass and saw that he was several stories high, he landed on the angular side of the building and started to roll and tumble; near the base of the building he leaped high and landed on the ground cleanly. He was on an island but it was what he saw that stunned him, he saw the Statue of Liberty standing there in New York Harbour, her lantern of liberty still held high welcoming all to a country of hope and freedom.
His gaze turned to the familiar skyline of New York, he would recognize that anywhere; but it was the huge flying fortress that he saw in the skies above and the unfamiliar technology that he saw in abundance that surprised him. He stepped back clearly overwhelmed as he felt the adrenaline starting to wear off. His thoughts turned to Gail and what had happened to her as he looked at a world he no longer knew.

Thor watched in utter amazement as this Captain America not only avoided Mjolnir he then went and did the impossible. As was known by popular legend Odin Alfather had placed an enchantment on his hammer that went as follows:
"Whomever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."
To this point no mortal had ever proven worthy of wielding mighty Mjolnir; Thor could of course allow the enchantment to permit someone to grasp his hammer if there were reason for it to be so but other than that only Odin could bypass the enchantments and allow someone else to hold his hammer.
There was only one possibility to this and that was that this Captain America had somehow proven himself worthy to the enchantment and therefore it had allowed him to wield Mjolnir. So in shock was Thor with this that he was catch unawares and his hammer crashed into him sending him flying through the wall he had been thrown into; rubble and debris crashed down upon the Thunder God and it too a moment for Thor to collect himself before he lifted himself back to his feet and summoned Mjolnir to his hand.

"Awe hell!" Lt. Ketch called out as Captain America switched directions and threw himself out the window, tumbling down the slanted building after throwing Thor's so called magic hammer back in his face. Ketch wanted to make a remark about how he thought Mjolnir could only be lifted by Thor and that all those stories about Thor just being a crazy former nurse must be true, but those thoughts were gone in a second as he sprinted to the broken window as he momentarily pointed his rifle down towards Captain America but in seconds, naked Cap had leapt off the slanted wall and landed down on the paged earth below. "Someone get down there!" He called out as he turned and sprinted out of the room running down the hall way towards the stairs to the ground level.

Clint rolled his eyes as Tony went on a verbal rampage about being American, eating at McDonalds, watching Jerry Springer... Ok Clint hadn't really heard a thing. Just a super rich guy who bleeds off of the middle classes money, complaining about how he is the only real man in the room. "Yea Stark, I'm sure the first person Steve Rogers, a poor kid from NYC wants to meet, is the guy so rich and diluted he could swim in gold coins like Scrooge McDuck." Clint paused. "And Anti-Robin Hood? I shoot arrows and dress in pretty colors. I AM Robin Hood. YOU shoot lasers and live inside a box tougher than Fort Knox."
Clint could feel his blood boil. It was Tony Stark and even the hippy Thor, that was most things Clint hated in the world of super heroes. No training, no hard knocks. Just money, and a lucky birth right. Fury, Widow, Captain America, they worked for what have.
Hawkeyes mind was drawn back to reality, as the Super Soldier himself suddenly woke up. Clint released his arrow on accident, narrowly cutting into Black Widows shoulder. Clint jumped back, as Cap took to throwing Nick Fury, like a rag doll across the room. Clint looked to the door. "SHIELD Lock down code Alpha 5 Beta 7...." Clint suddenly felt a sharp pain in his face. His eyes went blurry and his nose started bleeding. He watched as best he could, as Captain America dismantled the entire Ultimate line up. Cap then jumped through a window, and ran off.
Clint ran to the window Cap had broken into, he was a reckless man, and if Steve Rogers could do, Clint would try. He moved to the ledge, overlooking where Steve was. He cocked back an arrow, it was a sonic screamer and blasted it down toward the grass after Steve. But with his head a complete mess, and Steve Rogers cranked up on Hulk level adrenaline, even Hawkeye had a good chance of missing his target.

A jolt of pain arced up Natalia's arm as the arrow impacted her left shoulder. It might have hit her deeper and worse if she had not started to dodge a moment too late. Still the head of the arrow sunk deep into her shoulder. "Nice work, Clint. I'm sure Robin Hood shoots his partners all the time." she chided sarcastically, as she broke off the shaft of the arrow, so it wouldn't slow her down. She completely redirected her momentum from the direction she had guessed Cap would go, to the hole he made. She grabbed the bed sheet, tied it to the window frame one handed. A hasty job, she didn't expect it to hold long. And then she jumped out the window after Cap, without another word, grabbing the sheet to use as a sort of repelling rope for as long as it would hold.

Cap was standing there in the tattered remains of his dressing gown looking out upon the city that he had grown up in. He wondered if the city was as he remembered, the streets and the sounds that made New York the greatest city in the world in his opinion. His gaze turned to lady liberty and the golden torch that she held so proudly as a signal to the world that here in this nation born of tinkersmiths and cobblers of men and boys that would eventually become the country that he loved; here in this place you might find a place where you could aspire to reach where only your dreams might limit you.
He remembered the day he shipped out from here and the last view of his country that he had beheld was her and now in this place she was his first sight and it seemed only fitting. He had come home but it was to a world that he did not recognize. Huge ships and things that defied his imagination but the evidence of his eyes could not be refuted and though it was possible for this to be a trick he had never seen some of the things that he now saw and he doubted that the Nazis had something that could be this convincing.
He grasped his head in pain as an arrow landed near him and began to emit a sonic burst; Cap's ears started to bleed as the sounds tore into his head. He almost dropped to his knees but he saw a sharp shard of glass that had fallen from the window he had shattered, barely managing to pick it up; he hurled it at the arrow head that was emitting the sound and the glass shard sliced into the arrow causing it to malfunction and the sonic blast ceased. Now that was taken care of he noticed that he had been joined by someone, the red headed woman who had been in the room where he had been held captive. He looked at her as he measured her worth obviously she had leapt after him as she landed using a blanket as a made shift parachute; "Where am I?"

((OOC This is a JP between me and Captain America, if there are any questions as to godmodding please feel free to contact him to verify his collaboration))
Natalia couldn't help but be in awe of the man in action. He had literally been in a coma a minute before and now he'd devastated a security team, out maneuvered a room full of enhanced individuals, and escaped SHIELD's base. It was a little like watching a Ferrari accelerate for the first time.
And just as fast as he's gotten himself going, he'd put the breaks on the action when confronted with the truth. She could only imagine what must be going through the man's head right now. He didn't need people to coddle him or dance around the issue right now.
She didn't bother hiding her accent, she could speak English without one if she wanted, but saw no point at the moment. "I think you know where you are. Surely you recognize the major features of the skyline. Better question would be when. You've been in a naturally occurring cryogenic sleep since that day in 1945. I'm sure you know details of what happened then better than anyone else could explain, so I won't try. But the year is now 2013. You were found frozen in the ice, and when they realized you were still alive... you were resuscitated." She paused a moment. "I am sure this is a lot to take in. I cannot make it easier on you. In this case, truth is better."
He looks at the woman talking to him, there was one thing that was burning within him, a question that had to be asked before anything else could be processed "Did we win?"
She nodded slowly. "We did but at a tremendous cost. Millions died, and the world has never and will never be the same. But it could have been a lot worse." She elected not to start in on a history lesson. She didn't think she wanted to be in the room when he went over the Cold War.
Cap nodded, he felt a wave of relief that everything that they had fought for, all the sacrifices that had been made by many different countries had stopped the most vile evil that he had ever encountered. A nation that had produced individuals as twisted as Master Man and Baron Von Stryker had to be defeated and Hitlers dream of a thousand year Reich ended once and for all. But then came the realization of everything that he had lost, of the friends and family who were no doubt long gone and he felt such a profound sense of emptiness and loss. It was said that you could never go home again and it seemed like for this soldier it was true; he was a man out of time and nothing could ever change that. He had lost everything and he knelt on the ground seemingly a broken man. Then a shadow fell upon him in his time of profound need and Steve lifted his head to see what it was. There in the breeze proudly flew the flag of his fathers and his fathers fathers; the very symbol of hope; justice and freedom that he had fought for on far away beaches. He felt the warmth of the sun and the kiss of the wind on his cheek and he felt comforted as if America was welcoming her son home after so long a journey. He stood tall and slowly with solemn respect he saluted the flag and everything she stood for. He still had something; something to hold onto in a world that had left him behind. She would never leave him nor betray him and he would serve her as he ever would because he was her Captain and she needed defending.

Clint slowly followed behind Natalia. He would have been quicker with her, but he was nursing a broken nose, a skull fracture and two wrecked eye sockets. He looked like he took a 100mph fast ball to the bridge of his nose. "Good thing I have such good looks, this will only knock me down to a 9 tops." Clint spoke, mostly to himself as he gathered his cob webs. He looked down to see Widow had already made contact with Captain America. Clint pulled out an arrow, just an every day arrow. When it came to Black Widow, Clint would drop Captain America where he stands, no fan fare needed.
Clint held his arrow strong, as he noticed Caps heavy breathing start to slow down. He lowered his arrow, and saw the two talking. It was obvious that Steve had finally gathered his great intellect, and realized what was going on. Now the true culture shock could begin. Clint finished scaling the SHIELD building, and approached the two. Bow left snugly behind his back. This way no longer a time for fighting.
"But shes still standing Cap. It's evolution, but it's the same America. We live free. We've tried to keep the candle blazing. When you disappeared, this world almost went dark."

As embarrassing as it was to be caught off guard like that, it was still a bit of a comfort that Fury, Barton and others had gotten their asses handed to them. Everyone was in such a rush that when he finally got into the hall he noticed that all the Heroes on call had gone out the window. Tony approached slowly and poked his head out of the window seeing where everyone was after the scramble. The idea had soon come up to Stark that he could probably follow behind the same way they had gone but only one thing was in his mind after that thought.
"Nope," he said out loud as he moved down the hallway into the elevator and let the doors close behind him. "You'd really think people would remember that we have elevators. I'm sure diving out a window is fun and all but this is much more simple. Only thing that could make it easier is if the lifts could take mental--," Stark cut himself off for a moment before he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small device. Hitting the button on it, he spoke clearly. "Idea for a new invention, elevators that operate with mental commands."

Thor leapt clear of the window and flew down to where the other Ultimates had gathered; he was still annoyed at having been so dispatched but there was a presence about the man as he saluted the American Flag that reminded him of other proud beings he had stood beside on distant battlefields.
He had a strength and Thor knew he had the courage of a champion and Thor looked forward to getting to know the man as the others whom he had grown to respect in battle stood in awed reverence of Captain America. It was not hard for Thor to understand as he had received such accolades himself and so he understood how a man who had forged his reputation through hard work and valor could change those around him.
Thor landed and listened to what the others said before he too spoke up "Verily I join my voice with the others Captain. The history of midgard is one of bloody slaughter and conflict and if the stories of you be true then thou hast stood in dark places far from thy homeland and now she welcomes thee home. The land of thy birth mayhap stand different but I am sure that these companions whom we call "The Ultimates" will stand with thee in thy time of adjustment."

Steve turned to see that the others who had gathered in his room had joined them and he was able to take more stock of them; he wondered what stories lay with each of them and what it was that they wanted from him. They seemed genuinely concerned but he was still wondering about what changes had happened whilst he had slept deep within the ice; he looked over at the group and glanced at each of them before he spoke.
"I am sorry for my actions before, I acted in haste and would take back my actions if I could. It would seem the world has changed and I am a man out of time, perhaps it would have been better to leave me in the ice."
