RPers name: Taha
Full Name: Warren Worthington III
Code Name: ArchAngel
Gender: Male
General Appearance:
Pre Change Warren Worthington
Post Change ArchAngel
Warrens appearance has changed dramatically over the last few years, from his early childhood Warren was striking. Blonde hair and blue eyes he was the poster boy for the rich and dreamy but that changed when he grew his angelic wings in his teens. His wings grew to their current size over a period of years and are the most obvious thing about Warren after his good looks and well toned body.
After the Weapon X experiments however Warren's appearance was drastically different, his skin tone was now blue and his once sky tinged eyes burned a fierce red. The most brutal change however was to his wings, once angelic in nature now they are made of some sort of metallic compound and seem more aggressive and dangerous then ever an angel was meant to be.
Personality:
Warren was a caring individual who worked to use his fortune to further the mutant cause and the various other charities that the Worthington Foundation assisted. He could be aloof but he had a deep caring side to him that he revealed to few others that knew him.
Once the change took him Warren became something very different, his feelings and emotions became twisted and raw. He has given into his anger and now has become a weapon in the service of the very thing that he had always hated, cruel, arrogant and remote there is very little left of Warren Worthington; now there is only ArchAngel
Occupation: Billionaire, Current member of Weapon X
Super Power:
Powers
Warren is a mutant, and also the only (possibly the last) known representative of the subspecies known as the Cheyarafim.
Aerial Adaptation: Angel's entire anatomy is naturally adapted to flying. His bones are hollow like a birds, making him weigh far less than usual for a man of his build. His body is virtually devoid of fat and possesses greater proportionate muscle mass than an ordinary human does. His eyes are specially adapted to withstand high-speed winds which would hurt the average human eye. He possesses a special membrane in his respiratory system enabling him to extract oxygen from the air at high velocities or altitudes.
Flight: The Angel's normal cruising speed averages around 70 miles per hour (112 kph), though he is capable of diving swoops that reach up to 180 miles per hour (290 kph). He can fly at 150 miles per hour (240 kph) without the help of a tail wind for up to half an hour at a time before tiring to an appreciable degree. Though he generally flies beneath the height of the clouds ([6,500 feet)(1981 meters)he can reach a height of 10,000 feet (3000 meters)with little effort. With severe strain he can attain the highest recorded altitude of a bird in flight (African geese at 29,000 feet (8840 meters) above sea level), but he could only remain that high for several minutes.
Archangel
When Warren became a member of Weapon X he was given these abilities:
Peak Human Strength: Due to his body's natural mutation, the Angel possesses greater physical strength than an ordinary human equal to him in body weight and can lift about 500 lbs.
Superhuman Stamina: The Angel's musculature produces less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human. He can physically exert himself at peak capacity for several hours before the build up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him. His physical stamina while in flight is considerably greater. The Angel can fly non-stop under his own power for a maximum of approximately twelve hours. Contrary to some reports, he couldn't make a transatlantic flight solely on his own power. During his one attempt to do so, he hitched a ride on an airplane for part of the way.
Superhuman Durability: The tissues of Angel's body are somewhat harder and more durable than that of an ordinary human, though he is far from invulnerable. While he can be injured in ways comparable to an ordinary human, his body is structured to withstand the friction caused by flying at high speeds. He can also withstand impact forces that would severely injure or kill an ordinary human with only mild to moderate discomfort.
Regenerative Healing Factor: The Angel possesses an accelerated healing factor that enables him to repair damaged tissue with much greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. He can completely recover from non-fatal injuries such as slash and punctures within a matter of hours and injuries as severe as broken bones within a few days. This ability extends to being transferred by blood, thus he can heal others who come into contact with his blood, provided they have the same blood type. However, the mutants known as the Neyaphem, can be harmed if they come in contact with his blood. It is possible that his healing factor also protects him from diseases because he once had affair with a girl with HIV and he didn't contract it even though HIV is highly contagious.
Resurrection: After his metamorphosis by the Celestial Life Seed he is seemingly gain the ability to raise the dead.[51]
Essence Reading: After his metamorphosis by the Celestial Life Seed he appears to have gained the ability to see the true essence of whomever he looks upon. He has demonstrated this ability twice, when looking at himself he sees himself as something more than a mutant (initially believing himself to be an angel) and when looking at Evan Sabahnur he sees Apocalypse. He can also use this ability to sense the life energy of other living beings.
Energy Blasts After his metamorphosis Warren displayed the ability to fire energy blasts. [52]
Energy Constructs: After his metamorphosis Warren displayed the ability to create weapons out of pure solid energy like a sword.
-Weaknesses:
Before he was transformed, Warrens primary weakness was the vulnerability of his wings. They were not bullet proof nor damage resistant and so were able to be disabled via damage or inability to use. Now that he has been changed by the Weapon X program his wings are far more resistant to damage.
He is psionically vulnerable and while he has gain some resistance thanks to his Weapon X training, ArchAngel has proven vulnerable to psionic attacks and is still an area that they are working on.
Any additional info: Prior to his capture Warren was the Head of Warren Industries, one of the largest companies in the world
Weapons:
Techno-Organic Wings: Angel was given techno-organic wings by Apocalypse as part of his conversion to the Horseman Death. Those wings enabled him to fly approximately at Mach 1 as well as being razor-sharp and able to shield his body by covering up. Its flechettes could be thrown as weapons, some of which were were covered in a neurological agent that could stun a foe. Eventually, those wings molted revealing feathered wings underneath, although, it was later told that those simply appeared organic. Later, after his apparent organic wings were lost for a second time, the techno-organic wings regrew and his blue skin color returned. After killing those who took his organic wings, he reverted to his original Angel form. It's since been revealed that under stress his Archangel abilities can return, though he lacks complete control over this more aggressive form. During his time in the X-Force, he has demonstrated the ability to become Archangel but still lacking control. He later lost control entirely. After Psylocke stabbed him with a Celestial Life Seed, Angel returned to his normal form, but with techno-organic wings instead of regular ones.
Team Affiliation: X-Men, Weapon X
History:
Born with his mutancy visible, the millionaire parents of Warren Worthington III were disgusted and ashamed of their son, and left him in the care of several attendants in the mountains of Colorado. He was in his mansion when an attack occurred, Warren tried to defend his home but was defeated when Sabertooth tore the wings from his body.
It was after this that Warren was captured by agents of the Weapon X program, he was taken to their facility under the command of John Wraith who had identified Warren as a potential target within the X-Men. Warren was not prepared for the violence of his capture and was soon under going the process of the Weapon X program and all that it entails. After weeks of work there was no longer a Warren Worthington nor the winged angel of the X-Men; there was only ArchAngel
Sample Role Play:
Deep within the Weapon X facility, ArchAngel slumbered within his chambers. His wings creaked as they moved to their masters command and his eyes burned with a fierce light even as he hung in his room at rest. He had chosen this place as his lair and now he could rest in this place and gather his energies for the coming mission that he had been assigned. No one came here, this was a place of death and death lived here; his eyes gazed out unto areas unknown and he could hear the sounds of battle, feel the surge that accompanied it and wondered when he would be set free to reap and sow suffering upon those who would dare challenge him.
His eyes snapped open as something new entered the range of his senses, he recognized the scent of course but he was still a predator and so he took to wing quickly to gain advantage and height as was his habit. Wraith entered and watched his new angel take flight and he was even more pleased as he saw the glint of metal reflect the light as the ArchAngel soared. Worthington had fought him every step of the process which was a surprise given what a sap he had been but the process had finally taken hold and now he had a hunter to replace the loss of Wolverine on the team. He did have Sabertooth but he was unstable and entirely too prone to violence, ArchAngel would obey orders and could be trusted to enter environments he could never send Sabertooth.
ArchAngel landed on a ledge and folded his wings around him as Wraith approached, he was tempted to hurl silvers of his metallic wings at him but this might prove to be interesting and he enjoyed the hunts that Wraith sent him on. Wraith took out his cigar and looked up at his Angel "I have a mission for you, are you ready ArchAngel?" All he got in response was a hushed "Always."
